So this winter we see a bold new trend, instead of the usual copper and warm brown tones taking us into the new autumn winter season of 2016 we see greens, pinks and dramatic texture.

Its all about shimmers of deep emeralds and a subtle nod to secret panels of colour.

Be bold this winter!!

Colour seems to be edging away from the natural look, this gives you more opportunity to get creative and have a more playful image.

Always wanted that dramatic colour change, this is the season to do it.

Earth Month 2016

Here's a little information from Aveda about their work over Earth Month...

Earth Day lasts a month at Aveda, and it's a celebration; for over 10 years, our salons, spas, stores and institutes have come together in April, raising money to protect our planet and its people. Our causes have varied, our goal has not: since 1999, we've raised more than $18 million.

So one of the major trends of 2016 is short hair...Everyone of every age and every lifestyle seems to be going for the chop.

Its easier to manage, very versatile and it works with pretty much all hair types.

So there's no need to cling on to those whispy, stringy, snapped ends. Go for a blunter shorter healthier cut.

It looks like everyone is going for the chop even the Disney princesses..... What do you think?

Fab Fringes

Spring is around the corner and I think its time to start thinking fringes, they are a great way to instantly change your hairstyle.

If your feeling brave I love love love short fringes at the moment. They are great for opening up the face and show casing beautiful eyes. They are quirky, cute and still really feminine.

I absolutely love a short fringe with a sharp blunt bob at the moment, this can be softened up with texture cut underneath to give that extra dimension.

I understand these aren't for the faint hearted so below are a few other options...

The classic fringe, it's timeless and elegant. A far cry from the old school girl fringe.

It's easy to style for most hair types, you can add more texture by cutting into the fringe or simply having it longer and parting it.

Fringes are also a really nice way to create a focal point when wearing your hair up, it adds interest and makes long plain hair more exciting.

Sienna Miller has had some great soft fringes in the past. She oozes glamour pretty much at all times.

Claudia Winkleman is the queen of fringes, she must have worn most types of fringe out there. I do personally quite like her with her blunt, full and slightly rounded at the edges version.

Whether your thinking statement, peek-a-boo, soft, sweeping or side.

There is a fringe out there to suit everyone.
